Memorial School, the oldest school building in operation in the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District, was built in 1950. Memorial Elementary currently serves grades two through six with an average enrollment of 330 students.

Memorial School has 17 regular classrooms, a music room/art room, a science lab staffed by a science specialist, two special education resource rooms, a library with six computer stations, and a computer technology lab. Additionally, Memorial has a large gymnasium and a cafeteria. A full time school nurse, and part time School Adjustment Counselor, and a part time Speech and Language Pathologist are available to support our students.

All staff is involved in continuous professional development to enhance learning. The curriculum at Memorial School places strong emphasis on language arts skills, number sense, and technology. Students are exposed to a variety of teaching methods as teachers implement the adopted curriculum of the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District. An active P.T.O. as well as a strong parent involvement program within the building are hallmarks of the Memorial School Community.
