In honor of Shubhash Chandra Bose the Premier Freedom Fighter this bridge was open in 1973. This bridge was tested same year when Ahmedabad has faced worst flood in modern history. This bridge survived in 1973 flood. The bridge connects Sabarmati-Vadaj area (west city) to Madhopura-Shahibag Area. (East city). This bridge was widen in late 2000. This bridge is also used by people from westside to reach Airport. After construction of 132 feet ring road this bridge can connect you to Airport with shorter period of time.
