Kalamazoo Vegetable Parchment (KVP) was a major producer of mostly sanitary food wrap and related paper products. It was founded in 1909 by Jacob Kindleberger. Later it survived as Sutherland Paper Company, Brown Company, James River, and finally Crown-Vantage before closing in 2000. The mostly brick buildings have been vacant since then.
