YORK has served the government's needs since the very beginning of our company in 1874. Our headquarters in York, PA is the birthplace of the Articles of Confederation and from there, YORK has provided many wartime products and services. In WWII icemakers were used in the Pacific and high altitude, low temperature test chambers for bombers to conventional HVAC&R for comfort and manufacturing. We have a long list of accomplishments in the HVAC&R business and today provide equipment to many of the premier buildings in the government for comfort and production purposes.

Capitol Hill would be hotter than it is without YORK chillers. The Pentagon stays cool and the entire Navy fleet can stay alert because of YORK's expertise. Look into your own mechanical rooms and you most likely see a product made by YORK during the past 40 years
