This now abandoned insane asylum was built during times of racial segregation but was quickly abandoned after the Civil Rights Movement. Many people claim this place to be haunted, and it is a local favorite for high school and college kids looking for a thrill. Unfortunately, excessive vandalism and nature's fury is quickly turning the facility to ruins. Police visit the area almost nightly to check for trespassers.

There are a number of buildings on the campus, including the main housing facility, a cafeteria, a furnace, and a small house, all connected via dirt roads.

  • The building labeled as a cafeteria is certainly not a cafeteria, it was the SD Allen Intermediate Care Facility, and the building labeled as Old Bryce was technically called the Jemison Center or Jemison Mental Institution. The SD Allen building I believe was built in the 70s and the Jemsion Center closed in the 70s.
