Built in 1926 by the Spillman Engineering Company & brought to Griffith Park in 1937.

Can be seen in the opening scene of the 1997 film Face/Off with Nicholas Cage and John Travolta, plus the closing scene of the 1988 film Twins with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.
