  • I believe this should read the "5th Combat Communications Group" rather than the 3rd. The "3rd Herd" is at Tinker.
  • Robins AFB was my first assignment straight out of basic; I was there from Dec '82 until July '84. I was assigned to the 5thCCG (the mob), who knew they did Army stuff in the Air Force! Big surprise for me but it turned out to be a great assignment. TDYs to Egypt and Panama were good experiences I would never have had otherwise. Steve S., D.W. & J.W.
