North Shannon Road (Tucson, Arizona)

Shannon Road is named after Lester Shannon, who purchased land on the south bank of the Rillito River and operated a dairy and farmed hay, alfalfa, and cotton from 1937 to 1957. He also worked for what is now the Pima County Department of Transportation from 1945 to 1958.
