US Highway 81
US Highway 81 used to be a Canada-Mexico US route, but was truncated from Laredo, TX to Fort Worth, TX in 1993. From Pembina, ND, US 81 is immediately cosigned with Interstate 29. They run together through far eastern North Dakota and into South Dakota. They split in Watertown, SD and US 81 runs south through Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma towards Texas. US 81 picks up US 287 in Bowie, TX all the way to its end at I-35W exit 60.
