Lusail City

Lusail is the newest city in Qatar, located on the coast, in the northern part of the municipality of Umm Satal. The city will be located 15 kilometres north of the city centre of Qatar, just north of the West Bay Lagoon, on over 35 square kilometres, and eventually provide accommodation for up to 200,000 people. The development will have two marinas, residential areas, island resorts, commercial districts, luxury shopping and leisure facilities, including two golf courses and an entertainment district. It will be built in phases with the whole project slated for completion by 2010. One of the first projects to be completed will be Fox Hills, and the development also includes Qatar Energy City, Qatar Petroleum HQ, The Marina, and The Waterfront. It is being developed by the state-controlled developer Qatar Diar Real Estate Investment Company.
