Part of the Delta Airlines Heritage Museum. Home of Delta 767-232 Ship 102 "The Spirit of Delta" (N102DL). Delta, along with American Airlines, were the launch customers for the 767 in the early 1980s. Ship 102 was purchased by the employees of Delta via a voluntary payroll deduction plan to the tune of $30 Million Dollars. When the type was phased out of service in 2006, Delta retained Ship 102 for the museum. A portion of the girders supporting the hangar roof had to be cut away to allow the aircraft and its 57-foot high tail to enter the building. This hangar and hangar #1 just to the north are the sole remaining original structures of ATLs original 1940s era terminal layout.
