Grand Central Air Terminal (Glendale, California)

USA / California / Glendale / Glendale, California
airport, interesting place, movie / film / TV location, historic landmark

First commercial airport in the Los Angeles area, it operated between 1923 and 1959. Served the City of Glendale well before Lockheed Field became Glendale-Pasadena-Burbank Airport, and then Bob Hope Airport. The street the terminal is on is called Air Way, but what is now a different street was the runway. It was very close to several rail lines, which made it an ideal place.
