The site is originally the Ever Gotesco Mall. It remained condemned after a fire razed the building on April 16, 2008.

It was later acquired by Filipino-Chinese tycoon Henry Sy, Sr. and was later built and became "SM Hypermarket Caloocan."

  • Nasunog ang Ever Gotesco (April 16,2008)at umabot sa Task force Bravo ang alarma ayon sa Bureau of Fire Protection. Inabot din halos 18 hours tumagal ang pag-apula sa kapal ng usok ng Gusali.At isang Fire officer ng BFP na si Cablayan ang insidenteng nakuryente at 5 ang nagkaroon ng minor injuries. kasamang mabilis na rumesponde dito sa sunog ang mga ibat ibang brigada ng Pilipino at Chinese Fire Volunteer Brigade.
