St. John of Nepomuk Column (Wroclaw)

Gorgeous, expressive, baroque sculpture of John of Nepomuk who lived in the years 1348 -1393, canon of the collegiate church of St. Giles in Prague, caught up in conflict with Wenceslaus IV and executed on the orders of the king. It is the work of Johann Georg Urbanski and Christoph Tausch and was completed in 1732.
