In the 1870’s, L.F. Palmer opened a general merchandise store on the site of the present-day Evergreen Store, which is located at the corner of Stone Springs Boulevard and Arcola Mills Drive in the Village of Arcola. The establishment was formerly known as Pangle's Store.
