The former NBC West Coast, was originally a part of Warner Bros.studio holdings and sold to NBC in 1951. Was purchased from NBC by several major real estate companies in 2007. It appears that their plans for the future include redeveloping parts of the property for additional sound stages and production offices.

Currently the studios are considered "rentals" as they are looking for tenants since NBC moved out.

The final prime time broadcast from NBC on lot was March 12, 2014. It was MSNBC's "The Last Word" with Lawrence O'Donnell. NBC has move down the street to the Universal Studios lot, now known as NBC Universal.

Currently in negotiations to be purchased by Warner Bros. in a cash and swap to include the current Warner Ranch on Hollywood Way. with a reconstruction and opening in 2023.

  • Isn't all of this moving to the Universal lot? I believe this lot has been sold off for development. Sad.
  • Yes, the land has been sold to a developer and everything will be torn down. More entertainment history evaporating before our eyes. This very property NBC sits on was originally a backlot of exterior sets owned by Warner Brothers.
