Originally a beachfront hotel, the Sea Mist has expanded over the last 3 decades by gradually adding new buildings, including the former Montego Inn at 1307 S Ocean Blvd. The Sea Mist is now a 12-acre complex, much of which is being converted into condos. A large new building is planned behind the current Driftwood building.

There are 7 buildings on the ocean side of the street:
Tides - 11 floors, 100 units, all oceanfront.
Sandcastle - (former Montego Inn) 10 floors, 60 oceanfront units, 74 south view units.
Driftwood - 15 floors, located behind the Tides building, 165 units, north/south views (can't see ocean from lower floors)
Spray - 48 units, (27 oceanfront, 21 rear)
Surf - 6 floors, 30 units, oceanfront, but set back behind large pool/activity area,
Dunes - 85 units, north views (can't see ocean)
Oats - 2 and 4 floors, 26 units, north view
