Kaunas Mosque, which was once a wooden mosque was rebuilt from stone in 1930 with the help of the State of Lithuanian which donated half of the amount for the construction of the mosque. The age of the first wooden mosque was about 600 years.
During the Soviet era it was Transformed to a circus, today after Lithuania became independent again it is restored again as a Mosque.

  • I visited the mosque in 1991,amasingly nice ,to enter i had to get the keys from the city's mare.
