This is the old siting of the Philippine symbol of agricultural industry, the Salakot of the Marcos era, a large copy of a conical hat shown here like that of the Vietnamese one, directly over traffic where people could take haven during rainy seasons, however unmaintained and leaky. It has been relocated to the center of Bayanihan Park a few hundred metres northwest which is a bummer. Skyhigh 2008.08.16 04:25
