It's been said that you could toss a human body in this pit and it would dissolve pretty quickly. I haven't tried.

  • Er, I think that's lime, not lye. It's a lime quarry, filled with water.
  • The City of Dayton softens it's water, and this is where the minerals taken out of the water end up. Yes, mostly Lime.
