Tallinn was chosen host city of sailing and yachting program, part of the 1980 Moskow Summer Olympic games.
The Modern Olympic Sailing Center, still in good condition and now housing a hotel, spa and casino, was built in Pirita, at Tallinn Bay.

  • The pictures is taken in september 2018. And pictures is pretty rare, because here can see the olympic flame is first time lighted up after 1980 olympic games (38 years later). And it's fully operational !
