Qing and Japan Boundary Stairs are the steps that separated the Qing (Chinese) residents and Japanese residents that are ornately decorated with stone lanterns. From the bottom the left side of the steps are decorated with reliefs related to China, while those on the right are Japanese. At the top of the stairway is a statue of Confucius. This area was formally knows as the Jogyeji.
