An informal title given to the area about West 44th Street between Fifth Avenue and the Avenue of the Americas in recognition of the University, Business and other Clubhouses located there. These include the Penn Club of New York (#30), the Havard Club of New York (#27-35), The Princeton Club (@ 15 West 43rd street), The Cornell Club (#6 East 44th Street) and the Yale Club (@50 Vanderbilt Avenue) and then the New York Yacht Club(@#37), the Bar Association of New York City (@#42), the Midtown Executive Club & The Overseas Press Club (both @ 40 West 45th street)and the City Club Hotel (@#55) which has since become an executive hotel instead.

Not to be confused with "Night Club Row" at west 27th street which, of course, is renowned for a very different kind of club !
