Shafter Permanent Labor Camp

USA / California / Shafter /
 camp, historic ruins

After the migrant workers' camp was built to the southeast of this location, this small community of 40 homes was constructed to house workers with permanent (rather than seasonal) jobs in the area. The houses could be rented for $8.20 per month, which included electricity and water. All that remains are the house foundations and partial roads.
