A tiny sapling was planted in 1936 by great visionaries of the Fransician Hospitallers Sisters Missionary. With much opposition and difficulties, these dedicated nuns took the good care of their sapling, little plant. Over the years, it has bloomed to it's complete shape. Thanks for those wonderful nuns, dedicated and faithful faculty, support from the parents and ex-students, the school is doing extremely well. Under the leadership of Sr. Lilia Lucia Fernandes, the school has reached to it's highest success. She is considered one of the best principal and the manager of the institute. She has great vision and she works hard for it. She has good rapport with the students and the teachers. During her tenure, she has build spacious extension to the school and remodelled the old school. Now the school looks much better. the school is known as the convent school and well renowned for it's disciplined and good administration and imparting the knowledge and moulding the future generation.

  • Best school ever, good old days studying at SJC. I attended this school from 1983 - 1996. Recently, I made a brief visit to the school and its quite different now. Some of the teachers are still around from my days like Manoj (Physics), Chandrakala(Chemistry), some peons. In my opinion it's the best school in Valsad and surrounding area. • This is my most sacred place where I was groomed between 1960 and 1971 with teachers as strict as Sir Prajapati, Bhagubhai, teacher Stella, Mother Amata, Sister clerisa, Teacher Annie; Teacher Roy, Teacher Cooper, It brings tears in my eyes whilst typing those names who have made me today whatever I am in life. I am ever grateful to my dear dear SCHOOL. Really Those were the days when in rainy season we used to move in waters across the school, throw stones at Jambul tree and fight for a piece of jambul. I can never forget the scolding of Mother Amata, the strictness of Sir Prajapati. I shall never never forget my school days. The happiest moments now just in the treasured memory!!

Remember the mass drill Friday morning 1st period and what fun we had... the rains and we would be in the pond of water across the highway towards the railway library. The students coming to our school from Billimora and Navsari and how they used to run to catch the 3.30 p.m.local.The way we played underarm cricket with our hands and the tree trunk worked as stumps. • I am 1971 graduate of St. Joseph E.T High school. School built my personality and character. Teachers were honest, dedicated and truly inspiring. We did not have to take tuition or pay anybody. Only option was to pay attention and work hard. Pradip Patel.
  • I am from class of 1966. I have most wonderful memories of the school. It imparted most valuable education character-wise and knowledge-wise which became very useful to me in real life applications as we settled in UK and later on in USA. Some of the teachers we had Mother Mary Amata (Principal), Sis. Merita (English, French), Sis. Clarissa, Dhirubhai Prajapati ( Maths), Bhagubhai Mistry (Hindi), Bhikhubhai Mistry (Physics), Mr. Shikhalikar (Science), Mr & Mrs Solanky (Biology), Ms. Sheila Solanki, Sheila Dhanbhura, Kanu Topiwala and so on. My classmates were awesome. We had tremendous camaraderie. Those were the fun and carefree days. We were and are very lucky to have a school with high standards and which commands respect, integrity and dignity. May God bless all and specially those who played a significant role in my life. Rajen I Ghayal.
