Centro Cultural de Belém includes an auditorium for opera, ballet, symphony concerts and congresses, high security meeting halls, and a 7,000 m² exhibition area. Also available in CCB is the Jacques Delors European Information Center.

In 2007 by agreement with the Portuguese Government, a foundation - Fundação de Arte Moderna e Contemporânea - Colecção Berardo - was created to support the housing of Joe Berardo art collection. The Berardo Art Collection is estimated at over 316 million euros by Christie's.
