Scheduled for Demolition in late 2023, Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium (originally "District of Columbia Stadium" (D.C. Stadium), commonly "RFK Stadium" or "RFK") is a multi-purpose stadium, in Washington, D.C.

The stadium was opened in October 1961, as the District of Columbia Stadium. It is owned and operated by the Washington Convention and Sports Authority (WCSA).

RFK's last tenant, D.C. United, left the site in 2018 in favor of the newly built Audi Field, leaving the stadium vacated until its scheduled demolition in 2023.

  • If all goes according to plan, the Nats will be at their new ballpark by the start of the 2008 season I believe.
  • And D.C. United will move to their new Poplar Point field by 2009, I think. I wonder what will happen to RFK after that.
  • Probably sold to the Redskins, torn down, and a new stadium built on the land.
