Hassell Hall, housing the Music Department, was a gift of the Hassell Family of Clifton, Tennessee, and other friends and alumni of Rhodes. It contains the Tuthill Performance Hall, dedicated in 2003 and named in memory of Burnet C. Tuthill, the College’s first Director of Music. The building was dedicated on April 27, 1984. Hassell Hall contains practice rooms, faculty studios and offices, a music technology lab, and classrooms.
