Laughlin Park, an exclusive gated Community of public streets that has housed celebrities since 'the teens' (1900s) through the present. Many musicians and visual artists have lived here too.
Cecil B. DeMille's estate is here. It is in the midst of the Los Feliz district of Hollywood-Los Angeles.

  • Laughlin Park in the 70s and 80s was a typical affluent community in LA. there were no gates at that time. And there were many middle to upper class families living here. The streets are not publicly owned by LA, but owned and maintained by the Laughlin Park homeowners. In the mid/late-80s, the gates went up and turned this into an exclusive neighborhood.
  • Can anyone tell me who installed and maintains the gates.....my neighbors and I own a similar stretch of private road in Los Feliz and would like to install the same kind of drop down gates...Theyck@yahoo.com
