WGGB-TV is the ABC-affiliated television station for Western Massachusetts. Licensed to Springfield, the station broadcasts an analog signal on UHF channel 40 and a digital signal on UHF channel 55. WGGB's transmitter is located on Mount Tom in Holyoke along with WSHM-LP and WGBY-TV. WFXQ-CA, the newest television station in the market, has its transmitter located further down the ridge at the top of the old ski area. Owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, WGGB has studios that are located on Liberty Street in Springfield. The station is known on-air as "ABC 40"

At one point, the station had offered The Tube, a 24-hour digital music channel, on its DT2 digital subchannel. However, it was dropped.
