  • Built in 1980 as part of the Pontiac Plan it was called the Phoenix Center. In the Summer of 2004, it was re-opened and re-dedicated and re-named after a multi-million reconstruction project.
  • The Phoenix Center was only part of a multi-phase urban renewal project for the city of Pontiac, envisioned and designed by the late C. Don Davidson, an architect and professor from the University of Detroit, ca. 1966-1972. See more about the former Pontiac Plan and what could have been at: http://DonDavidson.blogspot.com
