This Math was established by Gondavalekar Maharaj a devotee of Lord Rama.they give the trayodashakshari mantra to people " श्री राम जय राम जय जय राम " to meet the lord ram.There is a musium type enclosure which depicts the history of the place.There is a Rama temple founded by Maharaj himself another Rama temple and a Dattaguru temple and a shani mandir all managed by the Trust of the Mat.Maharaj had a pattashishya named Brahmanand and many others. Millions visit this math every year. Chaitra Navaratri ,Ashwin Navaratri and many other events are managed here annually. The visitors are distributed free prasad twice a day. Aarti before dawn starts at 0445 am. This is followed by morning aarti at 0830 am followed by Afternoon Aarti at noon. In the evening at 0739 evening aarti is offered and shejarti at night. The programme is running uninterrupted for many years. In the year 2013 in December meth will celebrate centenery programme marking 100th death anniversary of Maharaj.Enough rooms and halls are provided for the visitors who stay over night to complete daily cycle of poojas and aartis.The math has its own generating set to ensure ununterrupted programmes.The managamant is by math's trust. The math has enviable grain storage and decent dining halls that can accomodate at any time 1500 persons. On full moon days the math is crowded by visitors and at least 5000 to 7000 devotees visit the math.. The entire programme is managed like a timed machine with strict discipline.No one goes back hungry who visits in scheduled prasad timings. "श्री राम जय राम जय जय राम "

  • The Gondavalekar Maharaj Math (Now known as Chaitanyopasana) was established by Gondavlekar Maharaja's (Brahmachaitanya) disciples like Brahmanand Maharaj after ShreeGondavlekar Maharaj left his mortal body in 1913. Gondavlekar Maharaj used to stay in Thorale Ram Mandir. During his lifetime there was a Goshala (Cowshed) of Gondavalekar Maharaj at a place where his Math now stands. He had expressed his desire to live there, and therefore, His devotees selected this place.
  • I visited Gondawale & resided there 3 days. The worships & other programmes related to Gondawalekar Maharaj were exeptionally well. I satisfied deeply and appeal to devotees to visit Gondawale minimum once in a year & take blessings of Shree Gondawalekar Maharaj and Prabhu Shree Ramchandra !
