Euston Road (London)

One of London's first bypasses, which was built as a route for sheep and cattle to be driven to Smithfield Market avoiding the city centre. It is now a major thoroughfare connecting Regents Park from Marylebone Road to King's Cross Station and St. Pancras International where it continues as Pentonville Road. It marks part of the northern edge of the Congestion Charging Zone, and is often congested. It was named after Euston Hall, the house of the Fitzroy Family who developed it, and it gives its name to Euston Station.
