US Route 341/23, Georgia Route 27 (Golden Isles Parkway)
Route 19 turns north and leaves Golden Isles Parkway. The main highway continues east towards McRae-Helena.
This road is also a part of the Golden Isles Parkway, which itself is part of of system of highways under the Governor's Road Improvement Program, a program which intends to connect 95 percent of all Georgia cities with the interstate highway system. It further intends to place nearly all of Georgia's population within 20 miles of four-lane highways (which are said to be safer to travel than two-lane highways). Golden Isles is one of 19 current corridors, and one of several of those 19 that are completed.
