Virginia Route 6 (River Road West)
Virginia Route 6 is an east-west primary state route running 102 miles from Afton to Richmond via Scottsville. It is a quieter back route from Richmond west to Waynesboro and Staunton, as an alternative to Interstate 64 running further south. From Richmond to Manakin-Sabot it is a four lane highway, but is only two lanes for most of its length otherwise.
