Place Eugène Keym / Eugène Keymplein
Eugène Keym (29 April 1861 - 1 December 1920) was a municipal councilor and from 1904 alderman in Watermael-Boitsfort / Watermaal-Bosvoorde. During the First World War he made an effort to protect the population against the occupying forces. He replaced Mayor Jean-Henri Delleur, who had been deported by the Germans, and was himself repeatedly detained. He worked closely with the Commission for Relief in Belgium and many other charities.
