US Route 65 / US Route 69 /Jefferson way (Indianola, Iowa)

US Highway 65 is a north-south route from Louisiana to southern Minnesota. It begins at US 425 in Clayton, LA in far eastern Louisiana. US 65 goes north along the Mississippi River until it breaks towards Little Rock, AR. It continues north through Springfield, MO and Des Moines, IA. After entering Minnesota, US 65 ends just 15 miles later at Interstate 35 exit 12 in Albert Lea, MN.

US Route 69 is a north-south route starting in Port Arthur, TX. It begins at an intersection with Texas State Highway 87. US 96 and US 287 also begin there. US 69 runs slightly northwest through Tyler and Greenville to Oklahoma, where it turns northeast. It enters Kansas and goes through Kansas City, KS, then northwestern Missouri and into Iowa. It passes through Des Moines and ends just on the other side of the state border with Minnesota in Albert Lea, MN. It ends at an intersection with Minnesota Highway 13 and County Road 46.
