M25

The London ring-road motorway is known as the M25, and forms an almost complete circle around the city's urban area. The only gap is around the Dartford Crossing where the road is an A-Road to allow vehicles which are normally not allowed on the motorway to cross the Thames. The motorway has several traffic hotspots hence nicknames like The World's Biggest Car Park. Clockwise from the Dartford Crossing, it crosses the M20, M26, M23, M3, M4, M40, M1, A1(M) and M11.
