World's largest and most powerful (and most useless) railway gun firing position:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.wikimapia.org/#lat=44.733927&;lon=33.816041&z=18&l=0&m=a&v=2">www.wikimapia.org/#lat=44.733927 ... =0&m=a&v=2<!-- m -->

It took one week to make some research, compare available photos and so on. Great thanks for GILLIES, who inspired me (I hope that you will find your supergun!).

There are still two other 80 cm K (E) firing positions to be located: one somethere about 30 km from Saint Petersburg (for "Schwerer Gustav" gun to fire at the former Leningrad) and the other somewhere west of Volgograg (for "Dora" gun to fire at the former Stalingrad). None of them was used for actual firing. Non-combat firing positions were located at Rügenwald Proving Ground (Krupp tests) and village of Darlowo (Polish coast).

Also, I'm looking forward to locate some V-3 facilities :)

Look at this formation in East Louisiana. I just happened to stumble across it looking at maps of Gulfport and Biloxi, created by Anjinsama:

The World...real interesting.

It seems that Dubai is also in the middle of some other projects. Southeast of The World is The Universe, which isn't on the map yet. A little to the southwest is an artificial island in the shape of what looks like a palm tree. Go a little bit more south and there's another palm tree-shaped man-made island.

The Universe: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.wikimapia.org/#lat=25.204786&;lon=55.2075&z=13&l=0&m=a&v=2&show=/6823716/The_Universe_by_Nakheel">www.wikimapia.org/#lat=25.204786 ... by_Nakheel<!-- m -->

This Polygon is a political message. The status of this area is still uncertain. I thought, Wikimapia prefer the neutral position in such case. I agree the position of Arnout.

I didn't say what should be done, I only asked what people think. The text description of the place says Eastern Sea, but I did suspect the polygon was a political statement.

"Should it me deleted?" is a question, not a statement.

After exchanging private messages with its creator, bitimapia, I'm still not sure. He says he believes in political neutrality, and he has been a solid contributor. I suspect it is a political statement, but I am not going to delete it without a stronger consensus.
