Well all be darned, I am in a wikimapia satellite image!!!!!!!!!!!! That's our van! The photo was taken September 22, 2012! There is no doubt about it since that is us being directed to exactly where we parked at the Bloomsburg Fair! What an amazing coincidence! |

Came across this place today....trying to figure out what this object is? Any clue? It can't be a runway for a small airstip...it's too small and too close to that grove of trees....unless this person flies ultra lights......I tried looking about info using roads with no luck...... |

This banyan tree is spread on a very huge area and one can not find its original trunk. I myself visited this place long back. Its on a small island so to go there is by Boat only. |

| Consider the Clown Motel, 521 North Main Street, Tonopah, Nevada, USA. Hundreds and hundreds of clowns of all sizes. Right next to the old cemetery from the old days of gun fights and mine disasters. Clown phobics and ghost hunters consider this place to be the scariest hotel/motel on Earth. A comic writer and illustrator had a Kickstarter project to fund his staying here for the full Halloween month of October. He got enough people to send in ten thousand and six hundred and sixty six dollars. That's 666 for the nervous. Now the wife wants to drive 8-10 hours out into the desert to stay here one night then make the drive home. Joy. |

[b:3l4ury9e]What is happening here??[/b:3l4ury9e]
In Bangladesh, near Dhaka, there is a place where apparently large "snakes" lie across the countryside and they end in the river here[/url:3l4ury9e]. There may be other places as well, but this is the one I noticed. If you follow the "snakes" southward they end in a place like this[/url:3l4ury9e], or like this[/url:3l4ury9e]. If you follow some of the "snakes" they mostly avoid "civilization" but there are places where they cross ponds, small roads, each other and sometimes they even seem to go through houses[/url:3l4ury9e].
Note that these "snakes" (with a few exceptions) appear only in the Bing images. When the Google images were taken (earlier or later than Bing) these things were absent.
This second of the above ending-spots makes it look as if the "snakes" are actually giant hoses linking the river with these end points. But what's happening? Are they draining water from the land into the river? Are they irrigating land from the river? Are they dredging the river and dumping the silt on the land? Something else entirely? Who can shed some light on this?? |

I guess you'd want to move your car if it looks like rain. |

So here's a new puzzle! In Kutch, India, there is some kind of very lengthy structure under construction (possibly finished by now, but obviously still under construction when the Google images were taken) along the coast but inland a bit. One end is here[/url:3kxtb195] and the other end is here[/url:3kxtb195], about 16 km away. It "appears" to be a large and long concrete-lined water channel, but it is piece-wise pretty straight so it is far from obvious whether it is "level" or not (ie: allowing water to flow along the contours of the land). If it [u:3kxtb195]is[/u:3kxtb195] a water channel, what is its purpose? If not a water channel, then what? And ... why here?? |
