| That is an artifact of the Asian tag war. It was moved to Antarctica over 10,000 km from it's original place. |

| I think the 'what is this?' a very valuable part of our community. I find so many sites I don't unerstand, and any feedback is important. |

"Maybe MHibbs or one of our other resident ship geeks can verify this for me, but I think this is one of the three Japanese midget subs found on Kiska after the Allies recaptured the island in 1943."
- The area matches that from the photos and the object visible is about 20 meters long. Type A midget subs were 23 meters (78 feet) long. I think that it's highly probable that this object may be a Jap Sub. |

This baffled me when I spotted it - The letters "AF" perfectly plowed into a field.
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.wikimapia.org/#lat=47.354031&lon=-68.288248&z=15&l=0&m=a&v=2&show=/5739390/">www.wikimapia.org/#lat=47.354031 ... =/5739390/<!-- m -->
At first I thought it may have been an imagery error/label, but its not - it's in the field. |

| To RAINGOD & GILLIES.....I tend to agree. A few funny entries (so long as they are not offensive) can make you smile. But not too many! |

| Quiet artistic, yes you are right, nothing to do with the tag. I remember coming across other tags with artictic polygons. At least these are nice ones. Actually that leads me to think what if other rude or awful polygons appeared with a tag? As far as I know, polygons can't be deleted. |
