I think, we should delete this tag (Forest Fire), when this picture was taken it was visible and later somehow it was extinguished. Wish to know your opinion.

@arif40uk

I believe you are right. The reason for deletion should be:
"A non-existing place where any event happened".

>renkessler: Is it something depicted above the Airstrip or in between Airstrip and Forest Fire! Above Airstrip it looks like a deformed human face and in between, I cannot notice anything. Please help.

This was created by noliver, a user I respect. I am not going to touch it until the next round of updates makes it obsolete. It is visible on the map for now, and besides that, I like it.

What I find interesting is to the right of the forest fire is a picture seem, obviously taken before the forest fire.

Sorry I don't see a deformed human face. Then again, some say that I am a deformed human face.

Here's a specimen of map censorship (not by GoogleMaps but by Microsoft/Bing) :

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.wikimapia.org/#lat=40.792499&;lon=16.9446945&z=13&l=0&m=b&show=/1360729/Gioia-Del-Colle-Air-Base">www.wikimapia.org/#lat=40.792499 ... e-Air-Base<!-- m -->

Compare the photos of the "vanishing" (on some map sites) military airbase.

maybe the more "interesting" place here (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.wikimapia.org/#lat=50.0520688&;lon=19.1609502&z=16&l=0&m=b">www.wikimapia.org/#lat=50.052068 ... 16&l=0&m=b<!-- m -->) is the river, 2 km east of the blue-white feature. the riverside and the shape of the river is not accurate..

the river is fine actually. the river is flanked by "oxbow" lakes/ponds ---geologic name for old riverbends cut off from the main channel as the waterway meanders over time. i actually polygonned one nearby yesterday. there are a few other rivers in the world which have meandered enough to make lots of oxbows ---the yazoo in the southern usa comes to mind.

I strongly suggest UL1 members NOT to clean up vandalism themselves.
It looks like you are doing a great job for WM. In fact you destroy the evidence for UL2 to take action against the vandal.

As mentioned in the user guide, Bring it up to the Vandalism Section of the forum.

Please read the WM documentation.

@ sp00ky, disregard my PM, I was mentally at a different construction site.

At the airplane graveyard it was some user who wasn't online for over a year.
I just wondered why the user who pointed to this place didn't do the cleaning.

To huhuhu

No problem my friend, we are only human. And can get abstracted.
I didn’t took any action, the vandal was to long offline to have any effect on that.
But he is in my sights!

I guess this isn't all that strange, but I thought it was visually eye catching. Especially if you like military aircraft. I said to myself, that it looked like somebody was trying to HIDE a Stealth Fighter in this building. See for yourself. :o)
