| Oh.My.Gods. The Old Looff's Roof for the new Looff's Building has even gone through a transmorgorphicatian as it slipped through the time-loops in the Parallel-History Universalism Warp Conduit !!! |

Perhaps it should say "All visible objects should be marked accurately and correctly with a minimum amount of overlap using the polygon tool and viewed only in Wikimapia Beta." |

@ abbascon,
These multiple marked spam tags are a real [u:233k8f8s]challenge[/u:233k8f8s] to delete...and I will find plenty more examples of [u:233k8f8s]interesting[/u:233k8f8s] trash if you so desire! ;-)
@ don,
The world is your oyster. If you wish to crack these "pearls of joy", go ahead! :-) |

Need help. I Tagged this so someone with good skills can tell to me what it is. Are we eventually going to start seeing more of this when the updates start rolling in?

A combination of Old English and Dutch words: Kill means creek or stream, Murder has something to do with a grouping like a Murder of Crows or a Skulk of Foxes. |

kencummings-
[b:2goreby2]Wrong!!![/b:2goreby2] Kill does mean creek, you are a wee bit right.
But [b:2goreby2]Murder[/b:2goreby2] is for the settlers that were massacred by a tribe of indians.
A quote from wikipedia- "The river received its name after the local Indians attacked and killed the members of a Dutch settlement in 1648."
Found at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killens_Pond_State_Park">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killens_Pond_State_Park<!-- m -->
You should look things up before you post. That was easy to find. |

| Is there any way to find out who is responsible for the excellent work on the river itself? |

Sorry for my ignorance, but I don'tr do rivers or other linear features. I find that if you go edit map - river you see the points marking the river. If you put the pointer on the central line a menu appears, that incudes "created by ..."
It turns out the detailed and accurate marking of this river was by user kencummings. |

It's easy to make points with speed tagging but it sometimes lack the "special touch" that make this type of User "Great" IMO ...not yet.

So anyway, how about an interesting place?

I tagged this one some months ago, but came across it again last night while tooling around. I downloaded a TIFF plugin for FF so I could view the data pages and layout plans at the Library of Congress and add information about it. The NOTS was a substation of NWS China Lake.
I'm still fussing with this one as there's a LOT of data pages to trawl through. |
