And what about this one:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.wikimapia.org/#lat=56.2332257&lon=43.4162521&z=16&l=21&m=h&v=2&show=/7296917/CCCP-houses">www.wikimapia.org/#lat=56.233225 ... CCP-houses<!-- m -->
I found it today.
Today evening I was reading several forum threads and found this one - I liked your interesting places very much. In the last weeks when I found funny or interesting patterns I was wondering how I could share it with others. Now I know! :) |

This is not interesting in a sense but i should say a master piece of organized construction and map of a city, each and everything, from sectors to buildings, from roads to market places, in short in every aspect of construction......check this...and plz give me any other example of such a city if you find any..

Interesting to me. Which channel of the river do you trace, or all of them? And how small do you go with lakes or ponds before you should stop including them? If I found a scene like this in a populated area I'd get started. The only people who might see this place are on a direct flight from say Seattle to Moscow. |

@homosapiens yeah thats too much extent, but plz do one thing improve its tagging by editting, place the rectangles within the polygons, so that it may look even better. |

Updated imagery of the Chittagong shipbreaking beach in Bangladesh. Cool stuff, as long as you ignore the fact that the workers are working shoeless around razor sharp metal and surrounded by PCBs and asbestos while being paid nearly nothing.

| Hi all. Arnout, you mean view of a hill self or something that is loaded later (after about 3-4 seconds?). Some phrase with the logo of Wikimapia. Phrase: "Hello! If you to download our data, please, don't load up our servers. Use the following algorithm:... etc" . Interesting place! :D ))) |

Today in my area a few guests have tagged the sites where they watched today's shuttle launch... this one includes a neat photo: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="wikimapia.org/beta/#lat=29.036877&lon=-80.894675&z=19&l=0&m=b&v=8&show=/3246552/Toni-and-Joe-s-Patio">wikimapia.org/beta/#lat=29.03687 ... oe-s-Patio<!-- m -->
Alas, from my town's beach it was a lot less spectacular. |

| One of the perks of my job is getting to listen in on every shuttle mission. I'm too far away to hear what's going on now, but I can hear the beeping noise made when a voice transmission ends. And the bird they're up there to repair now, Hubble, was built across the street from me. |

| Wow, awesome. The closest I can get is haunting the tags at Cape Canaveral and watching the launches from the beach. Gotta get it in while the shuttle program is still active. |

I live in South Florida and sometimes when the shuttles are high enough after liftoff we can see the shuttle and the trail of smoke it leaves from here.
(Miami is about 200 miles away from Cape Canaveral, BTW) |

| Well, it's about equidistant from Lovington and Tatum, NM and 50 miles or so SEE of Roswell. It's oriented to the directionals. My guess is still geo-graffiti but it's HUGE. Definitely some earth-moving equipment was used to create it. I love the thing. |

| Just to the north of it there is what looks like a plan of an old-fashioned battleship, about 300 yards long. I have emailed the museum in Lovington to ask if they have any information. |

@ Kirakira: IMO, judging by the layout and the dirt diagrams surrounding the mounds it is an aerial target. Cannon AFB is only 89 miles to the north, and that distance can be covered in a short ammount of time by aircraft. The area is devoid of a civilian presense except for the oil dereks...which would make it perect for ISR or targeting missions. Check out some of the other targets on the Nellis range to see how simple and harmless they appear to be. A dirt mound might actually be a great learning tool for aviators...

I've already found a similar case here: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="wikimapia.org/#lat=-16.1897626&lon=-48.1533551&z=16&l=9&m=h">wikimapia.org/#lat=-16.1897626&l ... 16&l=9&m=h<!-- m --> But in this case it was caused by the construction of a dam in the South, and the northeast photo is more recent, showing the water is being accumulated at that point. |

| 'De Vulkaan', a dune near The Hague (Netherlands) is a popular place for birdwatchers to watch bird migration. Here you can see them with their telescopes: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="wikimapia.org/#lat=52.0777232&lon=4.2363131&z=21&l=0&m=a&v=2">wikimapia.org/#lat=52.0777232&lo ... =0&m=a&v=2<!-- m --> |

Ken;
Removed all those plot points in the center, made a couple of adjustments to align better with google maps. It is looking pretty good now. What do you think?

Does the Old Loof's Lite-a-Line Roof from the OLD PIKE exist at the same time it is supposed to be atop the new building in the NEW PIKE in Long Beach?
Added as a curiosity. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="wikimapia.org/#lat=33.7659036&lon=-118.1932032&z=18&l=0&m=s">wikimapia.org/#lat=33.7659036&lo ... 18&l=0&m=s<!-- m -->

The old roof is a "hexadecagon" (16 sided) while the new one resembles an octagon but is actually an uneven "heptagon" (7 sided).
Too bad triskaidecagons are rare.
