One ,out of four villages (BARNAM ) famous for "OTHANG GOMPA" i.e.a budhist monastery managed by the Monks who are deputed for three years from zanskar monastry in Ladhakh well connected by motorable road and 140 km away from Manali. The monastery is of Thuderbolt sect (mahayan budhist). The social rituals of the village & surounding villages are taken care of by these Monks.
