Second World War 1939-1945, war memorial
Bronze Soldier is a monument to Soviet Red Army soldiers who fell in World War II, raised in 1947. Formerly located at Tõnismäe square, it was relocated there in April 2007, despite protest rallies.
The statue is though to have been modelled after Estonian Olympic wrestler Kristjan Palusalu.
