  • it was an elementary school
  • I think I went to school here between 1956 and 1959. If I remember right one of my teacher's were Ms Monichettie (spelling could be way off)
  • That was the 2nd elementary school. I opened around 1978. Kids in the back of Cramerton went there and everyone else went to the main school.
  • I believe I was at the same school. Started there in 1956 then moved to Munich later. If I remember there was an undepass that went under the road so we could croos the street. We used to go sledding and if I remember there was a old watch tower near by. We lived at the far end of the housing area.
  • It was called Augsburg Elem. Annex I went to kindergarten & 1st there from 1983-85. There was an underpass! I lived in the Apatment right next to the school.
  • I attended from 1965-1968. Yeah there was an underpass. The watchtower previously mentioned was known as Bismark Hill. Great sledding. I lived in Cramerton at address 564 Cramerton. It was also at the far end of Cramerton addition.
  • I use to live right there as well, went to that school and the main school a little west of there sometime between '87 and '94
  • I taught at the annex. I taught first grade there. Any other teachers from the early 60s?
  • OOPs in the early 80's
  • I lived there from 71-74 I remember my 4th grade teacher Mrs Moody and my 5th grade teacher was Mr. Dovgin..I think thats how its spelled, he would bring a guitar to class every thursday and we would sing Johnny Cash songs...
  • Went there 80-84. 3rd thru 6th grade
  • I also went there sometime in the early 90's
  • Went to their from 78 to 81. We lived in the big circle of Cramerton. Great times at the school. And remember how bad that underpass would smell at times.....
  • does anyone know the address for augsburg germany american high school
  • I had a 4th grade teacher in 1965 named Miss Badger. I can still remember how stunningly gorgeous she was. Even at an early age i found myself distracted always!
  • I went there 1949 to 1950. It was my 1st actual school and I was in the 3rd grade! I lived in Augsburg so I know I went to that school. My dad hired a German teacher and we used a bar in the Officers Club or NCO Club for a room. That was my 1st & 2nd grade. My brother was also in the school but he was in the 5th or 6th grade then. I was 7yrs old when I went to Augsburg Elementary School. My brother was 10yrs old, I believe! My father's name was Captain or Major Claude J. Kramer. I believe he was in the CIC then. I am trying to find information on when we lived in Germany from 1946 to 1950! We lived in Boebington and Kempten in 1946, 1947, & 1948. Dennis Kramer
  • I was there in 1964 and1965 In 1st and2nd My sister was in the 4th So much fun
  • We lived in Cramerton right next to the cemetery from 1958-1962. I went to the elementary school from the first to third grade. So many fond memories!! We lived on the 3rd floor of our building and played in the upstairs playroom with the neighbor kids everyday!! I remember the basement had a long hallway that was the length of the building....it had storage cages for every apartment. Sometimes the light bulbs would go out when we were down there....so scary!! Haha!! I heard that everything is gone now...that I wouldn't even recognize it anymore. Nothing ever remains the same...sadly.
  • Lol... I remember Moody he was my 4th grade teacher as well. 1988-89 & he always sung over the rainbow w/ his guitar. :) good times!
  • I attended there, 2nd grade, in 1965-66. My teacher was Miss Kunishima. I loved her! That year was one of the happiest childhood memories I have, in large part due to my delightful teacher.
  • Hi I hope you read this. Io Ed in Cramerton from. 1960-1963. We lived by Bismark Hill where we used to fund junk to brink home and sled during the winter. I had miss Smith for 2nd grade, miss DeBoer for third grade and Miss Meighn for fourth grade. Did you have any of those teachers?
  • I had a Miss Meighan for 2nd grade...wonder if it was her, Kathy.
  • Nancy, I was a student in Augsburg from 1963-67, the best happiest time of my life, the one teacher I remember was Ms. Babbitt for my 5th grade, also Mr. Rock who was the science teacher, Ms. Sato taught history, Mr. Ackerman taught math and I believe Ms. Jones was the principle at the time...
  • The Annex was built in 75-77 time span if I remember correctly. When I first arrived in Germany in Oct 74, for fourth grade we were in what is shown on the map as Former Middle School. Former middle school housed 1-6. 7-12 was at the High School next to Reese Kaserne
  • Her name was Hilda Jones. I had Ms. Reiber in the 3rd; Ms. Lavelle in the 4th; Ms. Evans in the 5th; and Ms. Dodd and Ms. Thomas in the 6th. 62-66
  • I attended in 1967 - 8th grade and I remember Mr. Ackerman for math, my name is Mary Billett
  • I live in Cramerton to, 1962-1964, 4th grade, how well I remember the basement, we played in the laundry room with large blower to dry clothes in doors .I saw pictures of them renovated years later and the storage units were closed in, and had doors instead of the cages, and the slumber party's up stairs ,we lived on the 3rd floor to, did you walk to school on the scary path behind the PX,and the old farmers house? It's fun to look back!
  • I attended 2nd and 3rd grade there from 1973-1975, I had Miss Minor and Miss Lind,I loved Miss Minor, she was a real hippie chick
  • Hi Nancy, I taught second grade from 63 to 66 in the old annex by Reese.
  • I did my student teaching at Augsburg American Elementary School and taught second grade there as well, Mrs. Donovan. I had a wonderful student teaching and teaching experience. Mrs. Murray was our principal. Mary Stasavich and Eleanore Whitlatch were my supervising teachers. Any of my students out there? I had a couple of visits from students when I returned to the U.S. I wonder what you're all up to now? I loved the ice skating exchange with our German schools and the Christkindlmart.
  • I too lived in Ausgburg 73-75 and walked to school using the under the street tunnel to get there. Was anybody there when we buried a time capsule? I lived at 572 Cramerton 3 floor. Best time ever!!
