  At Haraji village,an eminent Hindi novelist late HIMANSHU SHRIVASTAVA was born on 11th MARCH,1928.He had written more than 38 HINDI novels which are already published.In his novel, he had expressed the social realism & voices of downtrodden class.His most famous epical Hindi novels are LOHE KE PANKH(WINGS OF IRON),NADI PHIR BAH CHALI(AGAN RIVER FLOWS),BHITICITRA KI MAYURI(PEACOCK OF WALLPAINTIG),DO AANKHO KI JHEEL(LAKE OF TWO EYES),NAA KHUDA NAA SANAM(NEITHER GOD NOR BELOVED),CHITRA AUR CHARITRA,etc.More than 200 HINDI stories are published in Hindi magzines and 3 books as ciollection of his stories are available for readers.   In his most appreciated Hindi novels 'Nadi Phir Bah Chali'(1963) and 'Lohe Ke Pankh'(1956)Hindi novelist Himanshu Shrivastava had potrayed in most effective style and in very sensitive manner about his native village Haraji.He had presented every minutes details of local custom, socio-economic structure, local beliefs, myths and social class distribution.His ancestors were local zamindars and their succesors as told him about the roots of clan, the chilhood's memoirs and social perception of land and people modified him into a classic Hindi novelist among contemporary literary works.Like Premchand, he had selected realistic pattern of his creative background for narrating the characters and events.When he had visited Haraji in 1991 after a long lapses, he was very happy.His ancestral house is now in ruined condition and a few relatives of him are living there.It is true that the entire village community remembers him as son of the soil.

  Is shrawan men Manupur (Dighwara) apne gawn gaya tha to Prof. Rajeshwar Singh Rajesh se milane Vasant gawn bhi gaya tha.Nadi Fir Bah Chali ka name bhar sun paya hun. Lekhak hone ke nate Himanshu Ji ke bare men janana chahata hun. Saran Ke Sahiyakar taiyar karana chahata hun. - Ankushree, Ranchi

  He was such a great novelist and scholar of bihar state. But it is very unfortunate that he is never remembered by and media or government.
