This place is one of the biggest Sinking Zone in Pedong. It falls under the Dalep Gram Panchayat.(Gram Panchayat-A mode of administration in India). It has effected 4 portion of the same road which goes winding down towards Reshi(West Bengal/Sikkim border). The huge landslide,however did not result in any casualties.Still it has made life for the adjacent villagers more troublesome due to roadblocks and frequent falling of boulders of varying sizes.The road being one of the vital link that joins Sikkim with the rest of India, it should have been attended by the respective departments more seriously.
