Once described as Barry's "Jewel in the Crown" this facility, built in the 1920s, was one of the finest in the country. It was closed, allowed to go to ruins and then the plan was to fill the pool and landscape the area. A description of the pool and the general area, now largely lost, may be seen at www.barrywales.co.uk/tomclemett/knap.asp.
